We are passionate about connecting with our community which is a part of our missional focus. We can’t do everything, however we aim to serve our community in every way we can.
One way we do this is through what we call Connect Groups. Connect groups are groups that meet around a common interest and they are highly relational. From time to time we also do other specific events including school blitzes and being a part of running the community Christmas Carols with the other local churches.
mainly music is a fun, interactive music sessions where young children and their parents/caregivers join together for a fun thirty minute session then afterwards share a morning tea which is provided for both young and old before going into the creche for some playtime while mums, carers have an opportunity to connect with others and develop relationships outside of home.
Create is for women of all stages and ages to inspire each other with sharing life and our stories, doing a craft activity together and having a laugh over a cuppa! Creativity is one of the first things to go when we get busy or stressed. At Create there is an opportunity to keep a little creative therapy in your life while building rich relationships with other women. We meet from 10am to 12pm fortnightly on Thursdays with a creche available.
This is a very unstructured craft group who meet regularly on Thursday mornings at the Grain Shed; to share time and ideas as they do their various craft activities, including sewing, knitting and quilting. They have been generous in using their time to make quilts and other items for those in need around the world.
A group of ladies more senior in age meet on the first Thursday of the month at 2pm for friendship, spiritual input, sharing of memories, support and, not least, a chat over a lovely afternoon tea.
